Oyu is located within a quiet residential block on Satpaev and is home to a diverse collection of mainly contemporary works from Kazakhstani artists. However, those with a particular interest in Soviet art will sometimes find available pieces by notable local artists who were active during that period, including Eugene Sidorkin, Gulfairus Ismailov and Abylkhan Kasteev; the revered artist the State Art Gallery is named in honour of.

Arvest

Arvest 代表一個國際現代藝術家名單（儘管其中許多來自獨聯體國家），並定期舉辦各種新作品展覽，主要是繪畫和雕塑。也有陶瓷、銀首飾和受到哈薩克傳統圖案啟發的半寶石首飾。

Arvest represents an international roster of modern artists (though many are from the CIS) and hosts regular exhibitions of diverse new works; mostly painting and sculpture. Also on sale are ceramics and some attractive pieces of jewellery in silver and semi-precious stones inspired by traditional Kazakh motifs. The staff is friendly and helpful and speaks some English.

Aspan Gallery is a contemporary art gallery based in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The gallery’s mission is to represent and support multidisciplinary work by Central Asian artists through exhibitions, publications, residencies, educational programs and commissions.

The gallery’s focus on Central Asian contemporary art will be complimented by its international program which will introduce a wide range of contemporary art to Central Asia and provide a platform for its understanding and appreciation. The art gallery “Has Sanat” was open in Astana in 2003. Primary activity of gallery is directed on acquaintance of inhabitants of the capital to unique creations of different generations of artists as Kazakhstan, and other countries and carrying out presentations in Astana and abroad. One more direction of its work is opening of new names in art and creation of the creative atmosphere for development of young talents.
