Our story goes back to 1988 when we launched an initiative to support the arts and artists of Jordan and the Arab world. We are today a home for the arts housed in six renovated historical buildings and warehouses, with a restored archaeological site in the garden.
We bring together the visual arts with other forms of artistic expression, hosting innovative performances, film screenings, concerts, and cultural events. Our vision of a home for the arts and artists from Jordan and the Arab world develops and evolves in parallel with the changing art scene of the Arab world and the needs of the artists.

Founded in 1998, Dar Al-Anda rapidly made a name for itself as a haven of fine arts emanating from the region. It has since then continued to build upon that legacy while staying true to its raison d’être. While still a gallery at heart, Dar Al-Anda also promotes and exhibits art in the auditory, visual and sensory forms. A series of musical concerts, literary events and cultural activities has fostered a devoted and growing group of advocates for the impact that Dar Al-Anda hopes to achieve within the art community.

Sommer Contemporary Art was founded in 1999 by Irit Fine Sommer.
Since its opening the gallery has been committed to promoting Israeli artists in the international art scene, as well as representing and exhibiting leading international artists in Israel and abroad. The gallery is distinguished by the deep relationships it develops with artists, from emerging and mid-career to established, by regularly collaborating with museums, biennials and publishing houses, and creating meaningful exhibitions and publications. International artists are often invited by the gallery to conduct extensive research and create specially-curated projects. They regularly present site-specific installations in the gallery’s space, works that are formed out of a continuing dialogue and that cannot be witnessed in other venues.
In addition to these, Sommer Contemporary Art aims to bring artistic exchange, experimentation and discussion to the forefront. In the gallery’s project room, “S2”, young curators receive an opportunity to curate small scale exhibitions of emerging artists. The purpose of this initiative is to support the curatorial role and allow for diverse theoretical discussion to take place within the gallery compounds.

Va Space

Va Space

Va Space and Residency

Va Space and Residency is an independent artist-run space born in the city of Isfahan in 2014. Va is an alternative space, away from the mainstream, to empower the local community of art and culture. Fostering creative thinking and collaborations, Va connects the local community to local and international artists, thinkers and cultural practitioners through residency programs, ‘wandering’ events, talks, lectures, workshops and exhibitions. Va brings individuals and disciplines together to promote new discourses and cross artistic practices in the context of the city. Va also participates in projects, sometimes collaborates with others, sometimes defines and initiates its own projects.

* The Persian conjunction “va” is synonymous with “and” in English; it is a word that enables an infinite number of other words, concepts, or thoughts to be joined. By itself, “va” has no identity; it acquires identity by connecting things together, creating dialog and discourse.

Siin Gallery is an amiable bright exhibition space in western Tehran; in fact, the one and only art gallery in the area: the building is attractive, covered with ivy and the architecture inside is fluid. Although it is not a long time since this gallery has started working under the current name, there is a long history behind it: Ms Saideh Lotfi, the owner and director, ran another gallery from 1990 to 1998 in exactly the same place.Though Lotfi lived abroad from 1998 till 2005, she stayed active and didn’t lose contact with the art scene in Iran; she participated in the curatorship of different exhibitions of works by Iranian artists, including two exhibitions in the Netherlands, The Hague, the Kunst Krijcht Gallery and Pulchri Studio, in 2001 & 2002.

The pleasant and dynamic space of Siin Gallery combined with its director’s experience and expertise will hopefully establish it as one of the best professional art galleries of Tehran.

In those years, many renowned artists and sculptors held their solo and group exhibitions in this space. The works of the artists of this generation will continue to be shown in Siin Gallery along the works of younger generations.

Seyhoun Art Gallery was founded in 1966 in Tehran by Massoumeh Noushin Seyhoun, herself a painter whose modern works long appeared in many events in Iran and abroad.

Seyhoun Art Gallery Indeed the most long-lived art gallery in Iran, has presented and promoted virtually all the leading figures in contemporary Iranian Art and has successfully pursued its fundamental planned activities—notwithstanding interruptions due to social and political unrest (the revolution of 1979)—, holding more than 1200 painting, sculpture, photography and graphic art exhibitions as well as touching on other present-day international trends, such as installation art, conceptual art, video art, digital art …

Holding first exhibitions of modern Iranian art pioneers and encouraging this country’s talents are not the sole reasons of Seyhoun Art Gallery’s importance and authority; they are also due to its other endeavors, such as partaking in the formation of Iranian modern art, contributing to the profitability of contemporary Iranian art, holding official art fairs, participating effectively in artistic policymaking, simplifying and guaranteeing Iran’s artistic relations with Western countries, offering expertise and pricing services regarding classical and modern Iranian art …

Seyhoun Art Gallery hopes to always remain faithful to its long-lasting ideals regarding Iranian plastic arts, and to succeed, in the light of its now considerable experience, in identifying and introducing new lasting talents whose works conform to international principles while retaining an Iranian identity.
